JRC's Maritime and Security Team is actively recruiting a talented a Technical Editor to directly support mission critical Navy programs. In this critical role you will develop, design, and manage technical documentation for internal and external projects.
As the Technical Editor, you will...
- Develop and maintain templates and template indices to ensure they are current and aligned.
- Provide quality assurance support, including setting up and maintaining quality templates and performing quality reviews.
- Perform tasks within Navy systems such as DOORS, LiveLink, SWSNet, SIPRNET, et cetera, to set up and maintain program-specific and internal documentation.
- Support and contributes to internal communication tools.
- Deliver program status updates for external program reporting.
- Create program briefs, status reports, memorandums, formal letters, proposed revisions to ordnance documents (OD), Strategic Systems Programs Instructions (SSP Inst), and other documentation as required by the Program Manager.
- Assist the Program Manager with systems-engineering-related tasks for the program.
What you bring to the table...
- A bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited university
- An DoD security clearance at the SECRET level (or above) or has held a clearance within the past 2 years
- 4+ years of relative experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication and technical documentation skills
- Works well as part of a team
- Good interpersonal skills, including a passionate and can-do attitude
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Travel: less than 20%
