It's a great time to join JRC! Our Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) team in Crane, IN is currently seeking an experienced Research Analyst to provide program planning and research-based services to JRC and the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC). JRC needs for a motivated analyst who can assist in developing an Analysis of Alternatives and Implementation Plan for a facility that will conduct the Radiation Hardening testing on Micro-Electronics. JRC is evaluating various Courses of Action and developing an implementation plan for delivering a high-energy Heavy Ion (HI) Single Event Effects (SEE) capability at a new facility. The Implementation Plan will include a High Energy (HE) HI SEE Test Capability Requirement Document (TRCD) and an abbreviated Analysis of Alternatives. In this mission critical role, you will work closely with NSWC Crane program management leaders and technical subject matter experts and subcontractors.
As a Research Analyst, you will...
- Develop requirements, schedules, integration strategies, policies, and products for DoD programs
- Perform research and studies with regard to construction of industrial or radiation facilities
- Capture requirements and develop documentation to ensure compliance with state and federal environmental and radiation regulations, permitting, and radiation testing of electronics
- Perform requirements analysis and assessment of concept designs
- Perform trade studies and analysis of alternatives
- Develop business case with assessments and recommendations for DoD test facilities
- Oversee performance of subcontractor including tasking and contractual deliverables
- Develop an implementation plan to provide DoD radiation effects test capabilities
- Collect and develop program status and metrics updates for senior leader and external program reporting
- Develop, maintain, issue and track program priorities including agenda, minutes and action items as required
- Coordinate with program stakeholders including other customer contractors/partners
- Develop and review documentation and supporting material for technical accuracy including robust Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint files
- Format specifications, directives, and correspondence in accordance with Navy manual
What you bring to the table...
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent years of experience
- 5+ years of related professional experience
- An active DoD security clearance at the SECRET level or above (or have held an active DoD clearance within the last 2 years)
- DoD 5000.02 acquisition knowledge and tailoring products
- Ability to analyze processes and implement improvement strategies
- Be able to work independently and within team environment with little direction
- Flexibility to travel up to 10%
