We are actively searching for a talented Security Assistant to assist the Navy's Program Management Office (PMO) office, with guidance from the Command Security Manager in Cape Canaveral, FL in the areas of security program management (personnel, physical, information, and industrial) program execution, and administrative functions within the SPF10 Operations and Administration Division.
As the Security Assistant, you will...
- Ensure classified documents are properly received, marked, and stored in accordance with Navy and Department of Defense regulations
- Prepare and package classified material for shipping and mailing.
- Create out-going visit requests within the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) or current program.
- Process in-coming visit requests and confirms clearance and access level for visitors to SPS within the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) or current program.
- Process badge requests for new employees and visitors.
- Provide access for employees, visitors, contractors, etc. within SPS spaces.
- Conduct briefings to newly appointed or transferred/terminated personnel and to those requiring foreign travel briefings.
- Conduct inventories and destruction.
- Ensure effective personnel, physical, industrial, and information security programs are established and maintained.
What you bring to the table...
- Experience: 3+ years of administrative and security experience
- Clearance: Must have and maintain an active DoD security clearance at the TOP SECRET level
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of tools
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to liaise with department heads, technical managers and senior leadership
- Utilize automated computer systems and software, such as a spreadsheet/database program, to create, update, revise, sort, reformat, and/or manipulate data
- Familiar with DoD/DON security policies and procedures
- Skill to apply fact finding and investigative techniques to measure and improve program effectiveness and/or organizational productivity
- Demonstrate a willingness to work in a team environment with little direction, and the ability to work independently while prioritizing and supporting multiple tasks
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
