It's a great time to join JRC! We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our amazing team in Dahlgren, VA. Successful candidates will have a strong background in model-based systems engineering (MBSE), CAMEO, and experience leading teams. In this critical role, you will play a key role in supporting the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) by leading a group of MBSE experts to standardize processes and procedures.

Lead a team of Model-Based Systems Engineers to develop and implement standardized processes and procedures for MBSE

Collaborate with NSWC stakeholders to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions using CAMEO and other relevant tools

Develop and maintain complex system models using MBSE techniques, including SysML and other industry-standard languages

Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers on MBSE principles, processes, and best practices

Participate in system design reviews, trade studies, and other technical meetings to support NSWC programmatic goals

Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, both verbally and in writing
What you bring to the table...
-
Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., aerospace, mechanical, electrical)
-
8+ years of experience in systems engineering, with a strong focus on model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and CAMEO
-
An active DoD security clearance at the SECRET level or above (or have held an active DoD clearance within the last 2 years)

Proven track record of leading teams and developing standardized processes and procedures

Experience working with NSWC or other DoD stakeholders is highly desirable

Strong understanding of SysML, UML, and other relevant modeling languages

Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills

A master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., aerospace, mechanical, electrical)

A PMP certification or equivalent experience managing projects and teams

Experience with systems thinking, system architecture development, and integration of complex systems

Familiarity with industry-standard tools and techniques for MBSE, such as Cameo Systems Modeler (CSM) and Enterprise Architect
