We are actively recruiting an Engineering Technician - CAD to join our amazing team at Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane, IN. Successful candidates will have a strong background in designing, modeling, and drafting a wide variety of complex systems. In this critical position, you will play a key role in supporting Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) modernization efforts at the Strategic Weapons Systems (SWS) Ashore Facility on Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, FL.

 

💼What You'll Do

  • Establish positive relationships with customers, vendors, engineers, and technicians to plan, modify, and deliver fully operational systems
  • Collaborate with multiple technical branches, engineers, and stakeholders to update drawings to meet target deadlines
  • Support engineering request for information reviews
  • Offer a broad knowledge of facility management, information technology, security, construction techniques, code enforcement, operational safety, and configuration management
  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders both verbally and in writing

🧠What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline (or associate’s degree in industrial drafting and design with 5+ years of experience working with engineering 2D/3D CAD)
  • Experience designing in Creo, Solid Edge, SolidWorks and/or AUTOCAD
  • Experience creating design modifications to 3D models and 2D drafts
  • An active DoD security clearance at the SECRET level or above (or have held an active DoD clearance within the last 2 years)
  • A willingness to work in a team environment and the ability to work independently while prioritizing and supporting multiple tasks
  • High quality communication and presentation dexterity
  • Excellent computer/technology skills
  • Able to travel up to 25%
