Job Title:         Human Resources Coordinator

Pay Grade:      6 

Salary:             $60,588

Department:    Human Resources

Reports to:      Human Resource Manager

FLSA Status:   Exempt

 

Position Summary:

The HR Coordinator manages and supports daily HR operations, including but not limited to benefits, onboarding, employee relations, safety & compliance, and sensitive administrative tasks, while providing administrative support and coordination for HR department activities.

 

Responsibilities: 

·  Coordinate pre-employment screening requirements for new hires, including drug testing and physical agility testing.

·  Conduct general onboarding, new-hire orientations, and tours.

·  Perform quality checks of employee data as needed in multiple HRIS systems and maintain confidential company and employee records and documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational policies.

·  Assists employees regarding benefits of claim issues and plan changes.

·  Work with insurance brokers, distribute benefits to enrollment materials, and assist with employee eligibility inquiries.

·  Assists employees with benefits-related inquiries and provides support regarding company benefits.

·  Manages wellness programs, maintains files, administers wellness team initiatives, and related events.

·  Leads the open enrollment process and provides guidance to managers and employees regarding benefits, enrollment, status changes, and general benefits-related inquiries.

·  Responds to inquiries about leave of absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLA.

·  Provides support for 401(k) correspondence and recordkeeping.

·  Creates work orders, requisitions, and purchase orders for HR department purchases

·  Reconciliation of monthly expense report and generation of purchase orders for vendor payments.

·  Maintain workers’ compensation injury documentation, coordinating with employees, internal departments, Concentra, and workers’ compensation firm.

·  Maintain accurate records/documentation while reinforcing accountability and compliance with policies.

·  Partner with the Safety Coordinator to identify process and safety improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.

·  Instructs employees in Adult and Child First Aid/CPR/AED and manages company CPR program.

·  Conduct safety certification courses

·  Facilitates resolution of employee relations issues.

·  Collect and quickly respond to employee complaints / feedback.

·  Assist management with meetings, prepare documentation, and make recommendations.

·  Plan and facilitate company events.

·  Prepare various reports, coordinate various company communications as needed, and perform other job duties as assigned.

·  Coordinate with other sections of HR and business departments to accomplish success.

·  Assists Talent Acquisition Specialist with interviews when needed.

·  Other responsibilities as assigned.

Skills & Requirements

Qualifications and Requirements:

·  Bachelor’s Degree, Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related Business fields.

·  2+ years’ experience in an administrative position specializing in Human Resources required.

·  Understanding of benefits, safety & compliance, and employments laws.

·  Computer proficiency with Microsoft tools and HRIS systems – Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, UKG, and Epicor.

·  On call after hours for emergency communication, as well as attendance of off-site events as needed.

·  Must be able to pass requirements for approval for an ATL badge with customs seal. This includes a 10-year background search by fingerprint analysis.

·  Valid Driver's License.
