Position Summary:
The Inventory & Operational Services Specialist is a cross-functional operational role supporting AATC's inventory, storeroom, attic stock, laundry, receiving, and related service functions. The position helps maintain inventory accuracy, material availability, dependable laundry services, and safe, efficient operations based on business needs.
Work Schedule:
This position supports a 24-hour, 7-day-a-week, 365-day operation. The regular schedule consists of five 8-hour overnight shifts per week, generally from 12:00 AM to 8:30 AM, including a 30-minute meal period. Employees must be available to work weekends and holidays based on their assigned schedule. Schedule adjustments and overtime may be required to maintain operational coverage during absences, emergencies, or other business needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Supports daily inventory, storeroom, laundry, and attic stock operations to maintain efficient, reliable, and continuous service for AATC operations.
· Receives, inspects, validates, documents, stages, stores, issues, distributes, and tracks materials while maintaining accurate records and inventory controls within the designated inventory management system.
· Maintains organized, secure, and operationally ready storerooms, inventory locations, and attic stock areas, including proper storage, labeling, stock rotation, and general housekeeping.
· Performs inventory counts, reconciliations, and audits, identifies discrepancies, and supports accurate inventory levels and records.
· Monitors stock levels and communicates shortages, damaged materials, discrepancies, and other issues that may affect operations.
· Performs daily laundry operations, including receipt, processing, tracking, staging, and release of approved contractor laundry in accordance with established service and quality standards.
· Ensures laundry services are completed within required turnaround times and maintains appropriate documentation and accountability for items received and released.
· Completes assigned inventory, storeroom, and attic stock activities during available downtime between laundry processing cycles or while awaiting laundry drop-off or pickup, while maintaining laundry operations as the priority.
· Operates assigned equipment and maintains work areas in accordance with safety, cleanliness, security, and operational requirements.
· Provides responsive support to internal departments, contractors, and other stakeholders requiring inventory, storeroom, laundry, or related operational services.
· Works interchangeably across inventory, storeroom, attic stock, laundry, receiving, and related operational functions based on workload, staffing, and business needs.
· Identifies operational issues and opportunities for improvement and supports initiatives that improve efficiency, accuracy, service delivery, and cost control.
· Performs other related duties as assigned in support of departmental and organizational objectives.
Safety and Operational Support:
· Follows established safety, security, and housekeeping requirements, including proper use of PPE, safe handling of materials and equipment, and applicable chemical and SDS procedures. Identifies and promptly reports hazards, unsafe conditions, equipment issues, and other concerns that may affect employees or operations.

· Ability to maintain accurate records and follow established inventory, operational, safety, and security procedures.

· Ability to operate inventory, material handling, laundry, and related equipment as required.
· Effective communication and customer service skills when working with employees, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively, adjust priorities, and support multiple operational functions.
Minimum Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Experience in inventory, warehouse, storeroom, laundry, facilities support, logistics, or a related operational environment preferred.
· Basic computer skills and the ability to learn inventory management and other business systems.
· Valid driver's license required
· Must be able to meet requirements for an ATL badge with customs seal.
· Ability to operate applicable warehouse and material-handling equipment preferred.
· Forklift certification preferred.
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
Requires prolonged standing and walking, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting or moving materials up to 50 pounds, including use of carts, bins, pallet jacks, and related equipment. Work may involve exposure to laundry equipment, cleaning chemicals, wet materials, noise, heat, humidity, dust, odors, and varying temperatures.
