Job Description GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY: Lead the Human Resource department and programs by providing human resources services, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, training and development, coordinating safety programs, administers benefits, retention, labor laws and compliance. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing setting.


• Conducts recruitment effort (prepare job announcements, screen applicants, interview, make offers) for all exempt and nonexempt personnel.

• Conducts or monitors all training activities, including new employee orientations

• Prepares, processes and distributes hourly and salaried employee payroll

• Creates and manages job descriptions

• Investigates and mediates the resolution of employee relation issues

• Effectively works with management in planning for and meeting business goals and objectives including all HR processes, programs and initiatives.

• Monitors employee’s attendance thru ADP.

• Attends staff meetings and reports appropriate Human Resources matters

• Tracks Performance Assessment points through Microsoft Excel

• Ensure legal compliance and mitigate risk by having a basic understanding of employment laws.

• Promotes the role of Human Resources and enhances the credibility of the function by working collaboratively with team members to proactively share best practices and processes.

• Administers safety programs and standards

• Develops and coordinates safety programs and organizes safety awareness programs

* Reviews conformance to OSHA and federal, state and local laws regarding occupational safety and health

• Enforces employee compliance with work rules as described in the Employee Manual


• BS or BS in Human Resources, Business or related field

• 3-5 years of functional H. R. and business experience

• ADP or other payroll system knowledge preferred

• Strong interpersonal communication skills

• Experience processing payroll


• Ability to deal with multiple levels of people effectively, in group and individual settings.

• Computer literacy (Excel, Power Point, Word, ADP)

• Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task

CLIMATE: The person in this environment works at a fast pace with multiple priorities. There is little to no travel required to fulfill this position.

WORKING CONDITIONS: The job mainly works in a plant office but may be involved with duties in environments with frequent exposure to loud noise, heavy machinery and sharp tools.
