Job Description

Job Summary:

Responsible for daily accounting functions associated with Accounts Receivable Third-Party Delivery Services. Monitor all daily transactions, compile and provide the necessary data/information for management to assess the condition of outstanding AR balances.

Essential Duties:

  • Process billing, credits, fees, etc. for Third-Party Delivery Services using Third-Party websites, JDE AR subledger and general ledger.
  • Maintain accurate records for accounts receivable through billing, accruals, adjustments, and review.
  • Generate and research aging reports for AR customers communicating unresolved balances >90 days to appropriate management level.
  • Reconcile and apply daily/weekly payments received from Third-Party Delivery Services.
  • Research and resolve any/all discrepancies; i.e. payments versus billing.
  • Prepare and apply weekly AR deposit for all concepts.
  • Prepare and upload journal entries to the general ledger.
  • Balance and reconcile AR general ledger accounts researching and correcting discrepancies.
  • Prepare period reconciliations for audit, both internal and external.
  • Prepare and distribute Accounts Receivable period reports to senior level management.
  • Support and maintain relationships with customers.
  • Assemble and scan AR period reports, journal entries, etc.
  • Review and follow procedures consistent with Sox 404 narratives.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Skills and Knowledge: 

  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing requests often with inflexible deadlines.
  • Possess a strong sense of urgency; work efficiently and effectively while producing accurate results.
  • Computer literate, strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, etc.
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to interact positively and professionally, both internal and external.
  • Possess knowledge of general accounting procedures.

Education and Experience:

  • Some college in related business area and 2 years office experience in an Accounts Receivable position.
