Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis

Job Description


The right individual will own a primary role in activities associated with holding company strategic initiatives. This includes working closely with senior leadership to identify and build a pipeline of opportunities to expand concept holdings as well as process re-engineering, brand reporting, and capital deployment assessments. The right individual should expect to interact directly with the CEO and CFO of the organization and provide ad-hoc analysis on new investments and current holdings.


  • Detailed research on current trends across sectors in the restaurant industry
  • Identify, analyze, and model potential acquisition targets with focus on leveraging or expanding core competencies
  • Provide financial support to integration teams for onboarding of new acquisitions
  • Identify, analyze, and model expected ROI on growth capital deployment for new restaurants, new concepts, remodels / reimages, etc.
  • Recommends and delivers on plans to achieve planned sales and cash flow
  • Provides frequent direction, support, and development to direct reports and FP&A team members


  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and accounting/financial software skills
  • Advanced Financial Statement analysis and modeling ability, with experience developing robust 3-statement models appropriate for C-suite level review and scrutiny
  • Excellent analytical ability, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and with teams
  • Extensive experience writing reports/dashboards in COGNOS, Power BI, or other business intelligence software required, with preference given to COGNOS experience

  • Ability to communicate financial concepts succinctly to leaders throughout the organization and influence up to maximize financial performance of the organization

  • Strong technical/systems experience desired; experience with SSRS report builder, SQL, COGNOS, Visual Basic, APT Test & Learn, or other statistical/financial software preferred

The FP&A role is a combination of team-work and individual contribution. This is a fast-paced office environment that requires the ability to reprioritize deliverables quickly. The role is flexible with regards to working off-site with the understanding that required deliverables are achieved.
