Senior Accountant - Cash Management

Job Description

Results-driven cash management professional with extensive experience overseeing daily cash positioning, bank reconciliations, wire transfers, and multi-account cash operations. Known for strengthening internal controls, optimizing treasury processes, and ensuring financial accuracy across complex, multi-location environments.

 

POSITION SUMMARY

The Cash Management Senior is responsible for maintaining the company’s cash management function, ensuring accurate daily cash positioning, strong banking relationships, and effective internal controls. This role is also responsible for cash operations across all restaurant concepts, manages depository banking relationships and credit facilities, and drives continuous process improvement within the department.

 

The position also serves as System Administrator for reconciliation software and online banking platforms, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and data integrity across systems.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES – Including, but not limited to:

·         Maintain daily processing, recording, and reconciliation of cash receipts and disbursements.

·         Initiate and process wire transfers.

·         Prepare bank transaction worksheet for operating accounts and reconcile to bank balance daily.

·         Reconcile all disbursement and depository bank accounts.

·         Reconcile credit card receivables across all restaurant concepts using Trintech ReconNet reconciliation software.

·         Investigate and resolve any unidentified receipts and disbursements in collaboration with relevant departments.

·         Prepare daily journal entries in JD Edwards Accounting Software.

·         Collaborate with restaurants and banks to set up deposit accounts for new restaurants; make account changes for existing restaurants or resolve any               issues.

·         Review the efficiency and effectiveness of business policies and procedures within the cash management department on an ongoing basis.

·         Implement, process, review, and follow procedures consistent with Sox 404 narratives, initiating changes and adjustments as appropriate.

·         Maintain current users and entitlements, as well as add additional users for across the Company’s online banking systems.

·         Maintain bank statements, cash reconciliations, and bank account information using ADS.

·         Other duties and cross training with Senior Corporate Accountant as needed.

 

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

·         Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance strongly preferred.

·         Minimum of three (3) years of experience in accounting, treasury, or banking.

·         Experience with Trintech/ ReconNet software preferred.

·         Experience with JD Edwards or similar ERP system preferred.

·         Thorough understanding of and experience performing account reconciliations.

·         Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

·         Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

·         Computer literate, strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, etc.

·         Professional presence and strong interpersonal skills.

·         Ability to work objectively, collaboratively, and effectively under pressure.

·         Outstanding verbal and written skills.

·         Flexible and adaptable to changing business needs.
