What We're Looking For 

Required: 

• High school diploma or equivalent. 

• Strong technical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. 

• Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies. 

• Strong verbal communication skills, including telephone and two-way radio communication. 

• Basic knowledge of electrical power systems. 

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. 

• Valid North Carolina driver's license with a good driving record. 

Preferred: 

• Associate's degree in technology or related coursework. 

• Three years of dispatch experience. 

• Experience with SCADA, ADMS, OMS, AMI, Customer Information Systems, or similar technology. 

• Experience in an electric utility or 24/7 operations environment. 

You don't have to know every system on day one. We are looking for someone with strong technical ability, curiosity, and a willingness to learn. The successful candidate will become proficient with key control room systems within the first 3–6 months.

A Few Things to Know 

This is primarily a Monday–Thursday (6:30AM – 5:00PM) daytime position, but because the control room operates 24/7/365, occasional nights, weekends, holidays, extended hours, and emergency response may be required. 

This is a Job Site Reporting position based at our headquarters control room. As a direct operational position, employees must maintain their domicile within a 25-mile radius of their assigned office.
