WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • BUILD CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPS - Develop strong customer partnerships, understand customer needs, respond to concerns, and support long-term customer retention.
  • GROW EXISTING ACCOUNTS - Identify opportunities to increase sales, introduce products, expand applications, and strengthen relationships with existing customers.
  • SUPPORT SALES & MARGIN PERFORMANCE - Help achieve established sales and profitability objectives while maintaining appropriate pricing and margin expectations.
  • OWN QUOTING & ORDER MANAGEMENT - Ensure quotes are accurate and timely, opportunities are followed up, orders are entered correctly, and customer requirements are clearly communicated.
  • SOLVE CUSTOMER ISSUES - Serve as an escalation point for customer concerns and coordinate with the appropriate teams to resolve service, quality, delivery, and other issues.
  • CONNECT THE ORGANIZATION - Partner with Sales, Production, Quality, Engineering, Planning, Shipping, and other functions to ensure we deliver what we promise.
  • LEAD & DEVELOP THE TEAM - Coach and support the sales administration/customer service team while establishing clear expectations for responsiveness, accuracy, accountability, and follow-through.
  • IMPROVE HOW WE WORK - Identify opportunities to improve processes, communication, efficiency, order accuracy, and the overall customer experience.
  • MEASURE WHAT MATTERS - Monitor key sales and customer service metrics, identify trends and opportunities, and provide meaningful information to support business decisions 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

15-20% Travel Required 

Skills & Requirements

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing, manufacturing, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • 5+ years of experience in inside sales, customer service, account management, or a related commercial role.
  • Experience leading or supervising a customer service or inside sales team.
  • Manufacturing, industrial, tubing, metal products, or engineered-product experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing existing customer relationships and identifying opportunities for account growth.
  • Strong understanding of quoting, order management, pricing, and customer service processes.
  • Ability to read and understand customer requirements, specifications, and technical information.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple departments in a manufacturing environment.
