Job Description

Position Purpose

  • Aspira’s Solution division Logistics Lead plays a pivotal role in executing several service requirements of our key client contracts. You will be hands-on assisting in overseeing the efficient and effective functioning of our warehouse operations, ensuring seamless order fulfillment. You will supervise multiple priorities in a customer-centered environment and oversee a diverse group of team members, which can include warehouse clerks, analysts, seasonal and temporary workers.

 

Responsibilities

  •  Collaborate with management in the implementation of performance goals and long-term operational plans.
  • Implement streamlined and efficient processes across all functions; resolving day-to-day issues to avoid redundancy; provide feedback of existing workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and recommending improvements to enhance overall efficiency.
  • Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including but not limited to inventory management, order processing, and shipment coordination.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality control measures, and regulatory requirements within working spaces.
  • Supervise employee productivity, performance, and safety.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment that encourages creativity and innovation.
  • Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement within the operations team.
  • Encourage team members to proactively identify areas for improvement and implement changes accordingly.
  • Foster collaboration and communication among intra -functional departments to create integrated and efficient processes.
  • Provides a strong example and drives the Aspira Logistics division culture as an extension and representation of Aspira Company culture, fostering teamwork, collaboration, and transparent communication within all actions.
  • Supports Solutions management, the department, and location as needed and with other duties as assigned.

 

Desired Qualifications

  •  Working knowledge of Shipping Manager software systems (FedEx, UPS, USPS).
  • Microsoft Excel Intermediate Level: proficient with basic formulas, with a skillset to utilize spreadsheets and basic mathematical principles for data compilation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to properly supervise temporary and seasonal labor.
  • Ability to perform above average safety practices.
  • Able to provide current certification or become certified to operate a warehouse forklift.
  • Detailed-oriented individual with excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to follow as well as improve procedures and documentation.

 

Desired Education and Experience

  • High School graduate with Associate’s degree preferred.
  • 1 – 3 years’ experience within a logistics warehouse Lead or Supervisory position overseeing an onsite team of 3 – 10 people, overseeing day-to-day operations of a small team, and working with logistics vendors and warranty repair centers.
  • 2 – 4 years’ warehouse experience within a shipping and receiving, picker/packer, position with direct responsibility for packing and unpacking inventory, routing warehouse supplies and utilizing warehouse shipment and software systems.
  • Previous experience refurbishing warehouse inventory by cleaning, repackaging, and assessing inventory for damage, strongly preferred.

 

Desired Hardware and Software Competency

  •  Working knowledge of ticketing/inventory portals such as ASSIST, CSM, CA control centers, JIRA, WMS, or ServiceNow.
  • Working knowledge of Shipping Manager software systems, such as FedEx, UPS, USPS
  • Working knowledge of standard MS Office platforms including excel, word, and PowerPoint.

  • Stationary work, frequent moving to access resources and complete tasks, and positioning self to move in a manner that can be described as bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, the occasional ascension/descension of a ladder, and/or climbing, with general coordination and balance necessary for safety of movement, manual dexterity to operate office equipment such as phones, computers, copiers, and faxes, as well as the ability to move, transport, position, push /pull materials and objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Daily determination, at a level suitable for safety and awareness within a warehouse environment, obtained through an ability to visually detect, perceive, identify, recognize, and inspect, at a far and close range, with the ability to differentiate colors, is required in tandem with the ability to verbally communicate, converse, discern, convey, and exchange information.
  • Frequent operation of a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, printer, etc.,
  • Scheduled hours, such as weekend, evening, or holiday shifts may occur as required by the business.
