Product Leader

Full-time, Hybrid Remote (Oregon-based presence required in Salem, Oregon—days per week to be determined; 20% travel throughout the year)

Aspira | Product Management

About Aspira

Aspira is North America’s leading provider of technology for outdoor recreation. Our platforms support campsite reservations, permits, event registration, and park operations for public agencies and private partners. As we undergo a major product transformation, we’re reimagining the digital infrastructure that powers outdoor access. With millions of users and thousands of partners, we combine scale with purpose—helping people experience the outdoors more easily and equitably.

The Ideal Candidate

Aspira is seeking a visionary Product Leader to lead the strategy, execution, and evolution of our next-generation outdoor recreation management platform. As we reimagine enterprise software for public lands, parks, and recreation organizations across North America, you’ll play a pivotal role in transforming how governments and guests connect with nature.

Our platform is built for a sophisticated B2B2C ecosystem, serving state, provincial, and municipal agencies—and eventually private operators—with a powerful suite of tools for managing reservations, operations, and user engagement. We’re targeting a core product release in 2026, with an ambitious roadmap of innovation to follow.

As Head of Product, you’ll own the full product lifecycle—from vision to delivery to iteration. You’ll report directly to the CEO and work closely with cross-functional leaders across engineering, design, finance, client success, and marketing. You’ll lead a growing team of product managers and set the strategic direction for both near-term milestones and long-term innovation.

A key part of this role includes being embedded with Oregon Parks and Recreation Department (OPRD), one of our most strategic clients. You’ll act as the bridge between client reality and product strategy, ensuring our solutions are both visionary and grounded in field needs. This is a rare opportunity to co-lead product transformation from inside one of the most iconic park systems in North America.

At Aspira, our values shape how we work and who thrives on our team. You bring a Customer Obsession mindset—always centering the needs of operators, administrators, and guests. With Forward Momentum, you act decisively and keep initiatives moving, even in ambiguity. You believe in One Team, One Dream, collaborating across functions and departments to align around shared goals. You're known for Radical Transparency, speaking openly with teammates and clients alike. You Win with Integrity, doing the right thing even when it’s hard. And you hold yourself to a standard of Excellence, consistently producing thoughtful, high-quality work.

Responsibilities

·          Serve as the embedded product lead within Oregon State Parks, building strong relationships with administrators, operators, and leadership to deeply understand their workflows, offerings, and consumer experience.

·          Own the full platform rollout, including the 2025 sandbox environment and 2026 launch—leading planning, execution, testing, stakeholder onboarding, and the seamless deprecation of legacy systems.

·          Develop a deep understanding of OPRD’s park offerings, operational workflows, and consumer experiences—and then translate their operational complexity, regulatory constraints, and field feedback into actionable product decisions that balance strategic goals with usability.

·          Drive alignment across distributed product managers and engineers, ensuring cohesive execution while anchoring a local presence in Oregon.

·          Collaborate with finance and operations stakeholders to ensure platform capabilities support robust reporting, revenue management, and service planning.

·          Build trust through consistent, clear communication—explaining not just what will be built, but why or why not certain ideas move forward.

·          Ramp up quickly through self-directed learning and research, demonstrating intellectual agility, humility, and urgency.

·          Act as a cultural and strategic bridge—modeling product leadership grounded in accountability, mission alignment, and team-wide momentum.

Qualifications

·          7–10+ years of product management or product leadership experience in B2B2C or enterprise SaaS environments

·          Proven ability to lead platform initiatives with complex multi-user systems and cross-functional execution

·          Highly self-directed and intellectually curious; skilled at ramping up quickly through deep self-study and analysis

·           Exceptional communicator—able to clearly convey plans, priorities, and decisions both in writing and in person

·          Comfortable working cross-functionally across remote teams while anchoring a local presence

·          Excellent collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills across public and private partners

·           Deep appreciation for public lands, outdoor recreation, and improving access through technology

·          Ability to distill complex user input into focused product decisions with measurable outcomes

Desired Education and Experience

·          MBA not required but preferred

·          Clear career commitment to software and services

·          Experience working in medium to large-sized teams within financial institutions, payment processors, or fintech companies.

·          Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as PCI DSS, GDPR, or relevant financial regulations.

·          Experience in civic tech, govtech, or operational tools for public/private partnerships
