    For the past 20 years OTG, a restaurant company, has been and continues to revolutionize the airport dining experience. Currently in 11 airports across North America, we have over 300 dining and retail options for travelers to enjoy. OTG combines culinary innovation with unique designs and the newest technology to provide top shelf customer service making the traveling journey just as memorable as the destination.

    We are currently looking to expand our Fine Dining experience with a Maître D’ to oversee our private dining concept within Newark Airport. The Maître D’ will spearhead the reservation process for the location as well as accommodate special requests. The Maître D’ will have a passion for elevating guest experience, excellent verbal and written communication and a background within hospitality centric areas.

    Responsibilities:

    •  Design, implement and execute the reservation process
    • Spearhead the reservation duties to ensure accuracy and consistency Passion for creating an elevated guest experience
    • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs      
    • Greet all guests during check-in process to restaurant, escort them to private dining reserved seating
    • Walk floor of restaurant and check in on guests to ensure they are having an excellent experience
    • Work closely and communicate with the FOH & BOH leadership team to ensure a smooth operation always
    • Identify strategies that lead to increased guest satisfaction within the restaurant
Skills & Requirements

Requirements: 

·         Commitment to high quality service of customers, crew, co-workers and management

·         Minimum 2 years’ supervisory experience in a full service or high volume restaurant, Hotel or other Hospitality related VIP experience program

·         Can interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner

·         Excellent time management skills required

·         Ability to handle multiple tasks without losing focus on priorities

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·         Ability to clear background check for OTG and Airport badge
