Job Description

Position Summary:

The role of the Field Systems Engineer is to support, maintain, program onsite systems used in the ongoing hospitality industry. This includes hardware/software support, training delivery, maintenance, installation and ensuring operational effectiveness. Additionally, assisting in the delivery, and improvement of software hardware systems within the organization.



  • Provide day to day support and troubleshooting for computer related systems, lead staff.
  • Identify and implement mission-critical systems to enhance field level operations.
  • Design, develop and implement training programs as they relate to systems.
  • Ensure systems satisfy operational requirements.
  • Strong troubleshooting and help desk skills
  • Analyze existing application usage and recommend ways to extend the applications to maximize the business and technological return on investment.
  • Actively stay current on emerging technologies and issues in support of business efforts. Stay abreast of significant technological developments that may impact the business
  • Troubleshoot and provide on-call duties
  • Ensure effective use and operational oversight off field level systems
Skills & Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree – or – equivalent experience
  • At least one (1) to three (3) years in a similar position



  • At least 5 years direct work experience in a similar role
  • Familiarity with network operating systems
  • Knowledge of current application and system technologies, Micros, Windows Server
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects and maintain
  • Ability to understand and document customer's business needs into technology solutions.
  • Experience with hospitality systems
  • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
  • Can conform to and flexible with shifting priorities, demands and timelines using analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.  Ability to multi-task a must.
