Forklift Operator - Freezer Warehouse

Job Description

We are looking for experienced fork truck operators on second and third shifts! Join the Weston Foods Team!

Work for Us!

As a Fork Truck Operator-- Freezer, you'll be working in our Manchester, NH, cupcake factory that currently produces more than 2.5 million cupcakes per day!  This facility operating in North America employees 250+ team members and runs 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.  We operate 3 production lines, producing mini cupcakes in a variety of flavors for our retail and wholesale customers.  


Not everyone can keep it cool!  You'll help receive incoming shipments and put finished product away in our freezers. 

In a typical day, you'll:       

  • Perform a forklift safety inspection and safely operate a forklift to put finished cupcakes away in our freezer.  
  • Issue raw materials needed during the shift. 
  • Keep accurate records of freezer inventory and conduct cycle and inventory counts as needed.  
  • Load and unload trailers following our Standard Operating Procedures. 
  • Keep the freezer and dock clean.

Shifts Available:  

  • 2nd Shift (3:00 pm - 11:30 pm)
  • 3rd Shift (11:00 pm - 7:30 am)
Skills & Requirements


In order to perform this job, prior forklift experience is required. 

You must also be able to:

  • Work in a cold, sub-zero environment.
  • Work safely in an industrial environment with minimal supervision.
  • Speak and communicate effectively in English with managers and other team members. 
  • Read, write, and understand operating and maintenance instructions, warning labels, and safety procedures in English.  
  • Feel comfortable using a computer without help.
  • Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 
  • Lift, lower, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand or walk for up to six hours during an 8 hour shift.
  • Perform strenuous physical activities that may include climbing, bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting, and crawling. 
  • Work closely with others in a team environment. 

It's helpful if you have:

  • A HS Diploma/GED
  • 2-3 years of shipping and warehousing experience.
  • Prior food manufacturing experience or exposure.
