supervision, performs a variety of semi-skilled work in the upkeep of Weston Foods’ property and
perform other related duties as assigned.
Responsibilities include, but are not
limited to, the following:
General building support duties
to include, but not limited to:
- Troubleshoot and potentially
resolve minor facilities issues involving utilities such as a tripped breakers,
- Perform preventive building support
duties, including caulking, interior and exterior painting, assembling and
moving furniture, hang pictures and bulletin boards, etc.
- Perform routine plumbing repairs
such as unplugging toilets, sinks and urinals, addressing water leaks, to
include but not limited to, patching or replacing and responding to emergency
work of outside contractors in area of
responsibility as needed, in conjunction with other forepersons and department manager
- Perform routine electrical
repairs such as changing light bulbs or fluorescent lamps, etc.
- Coordinate HVAC coil cleaning; coordinate
hanging plastic as required
General grounds keeping duties to
include, but not limited to:
snow and ice removal from building walkways and adding snow melt as required
removal parking lot control
- Control litter in parking lot and
- Lawn sprinkler system maintenance
such as replacing the sprinkler heads
Assist with ordering supplies, equipment, and materials necessary to complete projects and meet with supply vendors in areas of responsibility, jointly with other forepersons and department managers
Wastewater building cleaning, including tank level, waste water meter readings
Occasional man lift and forklift operation
Assist with minor capital projects
Perform inspection of outlying areas and note required repairs and address as appropriate
moderate to heavy work in all types of conditions. There is a frequent need to
stand, stoop, walk, lift up to 50 pounds and perform other similar actions
during the course of the workday.

Members from various departments, management staff and various vendors and
perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each
essential function satisfactorily. This position is a scheduled 8 hour shift, 5
days a week. Must be able to work overtime and/or a 6th day as
candidates will have at least one (1) year previous building
maintenance/groundskeeping experience or any equivalent combination of training
entry experience necessary.
school diploma or GED preferred.
- Must be able to
work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Start pay range is
$ 19.88 /hour.
