Work for Us!

As an Industrial maintenance mechanic, you will be working in our Frankfort, New York, donut manufacturing facility that currently produces more than 1 million donuts a day!  This facility, one of 4 donut facilities operating in North America, employs 200+ team members and runs production 17 hours per day, 5-6 days per week.  This recently renovated facility is 170k sq. ft. and operates 5 production lines, producing yeast & cake donuts for our retail and wholesale customers.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensuring on time start-up and smooth operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, gearboxes, pneumatic systems, conveyor systems, facilities equipment, and production machines.
  • Ability to follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment in downtime situations.
  • Perform emergency repairs on various types of machinery, including mechanical, electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic; identify and replace worn or damaged parts in a timely manner, adhering to all safety polices.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and service for each piece of equipment.
  • Inspect machines regularly for signs of malfunctions, including visual inspections, listening for irregular noises and conducting scheduled testing as appropriate.
  • Use a variety of power and hand tools to perform job functions.
  • Install, assemble and test new machines and equipment; understand and comply with workplace safety regulations.
  • Expedite all categories (Food Quality/Food & Employee Safety) Work Orders.
  • Compliance with all plant (Good Manufacturing Practices) GMP and sanitation policies.
  • Compliance with all OSHA regulations as well as 100% plant safety policies.
  • General maintenance including building repairs, plumbing and electrical.
  • Maintaining food safety and food quality through completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner.
  • Carry out all additional duties assigned by the Maintenance Manager & shift Team Lead.
  • Understand and follow all safety procedures, always wear proper PPE, never put yourself or other employees in harm’s way.


Skills & Requirements

 Required Qualifications:

  • Able to read, interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals, and follow instructions, warning labels, and postings in English.
  • Able to navigate a computer to complete and close out work orders in a CMMS (EAM).
  • Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English with managers and employees from diverse backgrounds.
  • Able to work effectively with other team members in a high paced food-processing environment.

Educational Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience working in an industrial company.  Food Industry experience is a plus.
  • Skilled trade’s certificates or training is a plus.
  • Strong mechanical and manufacturing experience.

Physical Demands:

  • Able to work in extreme environments (including hot, cold, wet, humid, dusty, and slick places).
  • Able to withstand loud noise level (employees must wear earplugs at all times).
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more and use team lift procedures when required to perform job functions.
  • Must be able to stand, climb (stairs and ladders), reach, pull, push, stoop, bend, hang, lift, and stretch as needed on a daily basis. 
  • Able to work effectively in elevated or tight spaces.
  • Work safely in an industrial environment. 

Must provide your own tools and toolbox or ability to obtain in a timely fashion

PLC and VFD experience is a plus
