Job Description

The Shipping Coordinator will join the Production Department of a growing and fast paced lighting manufacturer, and is responsible for the preparation, processing and tracking of outbound shipments of manufactured parts from the facility.  This position will report directly to the Shipping Supervisor.

  • Using the ERP system Oracle, prepare parcel shipping documents and truck/air freight shipping documents.
  • Stage and process domestic and international parcel shipments.
  • Assist with the staging process of truck/air freight shipments, including proper piece/unit counts on packing list and bill of lading for both domestic and international shipments.
  • Using Oracle, process ship confirmation of orders when shipped.
  • Pick and pack parts orders accordingly.
  • Accountable for updating the job folder log using Microsoft Excel on a timely basis.
  • Process change orders on a timely basis.
  • Process call tag requests from Customer Support.
  • Process air freight quotations from Customer Support.
  • Assist Customer Support with Proof of Deliveries when necessary.
  • Supports Teamwork, Safety and Quality in all assigned work areas; adhering to all OSHA and Amerlux requirements.
  • Responsible for the printing of labels for jobs released to Production.
  • Other duties deemed appropriate by the Company and Management.
Skills & Requirements
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, Intermediate to Advanced Excel experience highly preferred
  • Experience in shipping and logistics, preferably in a production manufacturing environment
  • Experience with FedEx & UPS World ship experience a plus 
  • Sit Down Forklift experence 

Environmental/Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be asked to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
  • Physical requirements to lift/move items up to 40 lbs.
