The Senior Financial Analyst will join a best-in-class FP&A team to support a high-growth organization in the real-estate technology space. In this role, you will serve as a key business partner to functional leaders and/or vertical segment leaders, providing strategic and analytical insights. You will own retention analysis and reporting, performance reporting, scenario building, and financial forecasting to aid in decision making. You have a strong aptitude for systems, processes, and data and can drive changes in these areas to improve analysis and reporting. The successful candidate is one who is eternally curious and seeks to learn all aspects of the business. You are service-oriented and support stakeholders across the organization in a timely manner. You are comfortable with change and can thrive in the fast-paced culture of the organization.

 

What you’ll be doing:

Own retention analysis and reporting for key products

  • Deliver performance reporting packages and dashboards that includes KPIs, metrics narratives and analysis that deliver business value
  • Support allocation processes to produce Product and Segment P&Ls
  • Conduct financial modelling, forecasts, and other ad hoc analysis to support decision-making
  • Investigate, document, design, and recommend better integrated systems with the end goal of producing valuable insights to organization stakeholders
  • Simplify and automate reporting processes
  • Build strong collaborative relationships with Accounting, Sales, Marketing, Operations, IT, and other functions across the organization
  • Identify opportunities to improve bookings/revenue and/or to reduce costs

Skills & Requirements

  • A unique balance of extreme attention to detail, and ‘big picture’ strategic thinking
  • Intellectually curious and ability to quickly understand difficult concepts
  • Proven ability to work well with Director-level and VP-level leaders and can clearly and concisely summarize research, findings, and recommendations
  • Ability to rapidly analyze and succinctly synthesize information and recommendations into thoughtful narratives
  • Financial prowess and ability to create financial models, ROIs, and simplify complex spreadsheets
  • Demonstrates advanced expertise in Excel (pivot tables, INDEX) and is knowledgeable in Power Query
  • Adept at understanding and manipulating large amounts of data, including the use of tools to facilitate data transformation, integration, and analysis
  • At least 2 years of experience in Private Equity, Investment Banking, Transaction Advisory, Corporate Finance, or FP&A
  • Ability to work strategically and collaboratively across departments
  • Highest level of integrity and management of confidential information
  • Excellent communicator in written and verbal form, with strength and experience interfacing with clients, customers, stakeholders, or external parties


EDUCATION:
  University Degree or College Diploma

Bonus Points:

  • Experience in SaaS industry or any industry with similar characteristics
  • Prior experience in or knowledge of the residential real estate industry
  • M&A and Integration experience
  • Knowledge of US GAAP
  • Experience with developing dashboards (PowerBI, Tableau, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Netsuite or similar accounting systems
  • Familiarity with extracting and analyzing data from transactional systems (Stripe, Braintree, or Paypal)
  • Experience in Netsuite Planning and Budgeting or other similar systems (e.g., Oracle, Adaptive Planning, Cognos TM1, Vena, etc.)
  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Finance or holds a CPA or a CFA designation
