The Business Analyst will report to the Product Director. As part of the Product team, you are responsible for creating technical documentation, gathering and documenting functional business requirements, process designs, user interface mock-ups and defining use cases.

 

You will be a conduit between product users and our engineering team. You’ll work with users and SME’s to understand the needs and desires, and you’ll have the technical skills to translate user requirements into executable work the development team can implement.  

 

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Gather requirements from both internal and external subject matter experts
  • Document business rules and use cases
  • Collaborate to define segmentation of scope to ensure design requirements and technical specifications are outlined
  • Prioritize initiatives based on business needs and requirements
  • Lead Sprint Planning and Refinement sessions
  • Interface directly with internal department leaders to provide exceptional implementation, training and support to clients
  • Assist with identifying and solving design flaws to increase usability
  • Be able to communicate the business value of product capabilities and act as a product champion
  • Provide content for the development of all product documentation (including marketing materials, Product specs, user guides, etc.)
  • Present on topics including product walk-throughs, for internal and external audiences
  • Engage with users during user feedback and validation efforts
  • Monitor deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projects
  • Document and communicate project status
  • Track and Report key metrics to drive future product developments

Skills & Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years as a Business Analyst or related field preferred (QA/QC/BA)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with JIRA preferred
  • Experience with SCRUM, Agile development methodology
  • Must be able to produce high-quality work as part of a fast-paced, dynamic team
  • Aptitude for understanding technical concepts and simplifying them
  • Strong interpersonal skills with experience working with multiple departments, subject matter experts, and colleagues that are geographically dispersed
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
  • Experience within real estate or real estate brokerages is ideal
  • Occasional travel may be required (US and Canada)
