ABOUT THIS ROLE

As a Software Development Engineer in Test, you will join our team as a hands-on developer that is passionate about quality and focused on building test automation directly into the development workflow. As an embedded member of a development squad, you will write tests alongside production code and own the reliability of the features you ship. You will combine an engineering mindset with a deep focus on quality while leveraging the power of Generative AI to enhance and transform our workflows.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Design and build automated unit and integration tests directly within the core codebase using .NET/C# or Java.
  • Enhance and maintain the UI automation framework built with Playwright and TypeScript.
  • Design and maintain test data strategies for microservices including isolated setup, deterministic seeding, and reliable teardown.
  • Leverage containerization technologies like Docker and Testcontainers to create isolated, on-demand test environments.
  • Use Generative AI tools to transform workflows ranging from test case generation to optimizing automation scripts and reports.
  • Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless quality checks and own pipeline reliability.
Skills & Requirements

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • 3+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on testability and quality engineering.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Strong programming skills in .NET/C#, Java, or TypeScript/JavaScript for web UI automation.

  • Experience designing test data management strategies for multi-database, microservices architectures including data isolation and factory-based generation.

  • Hands-on experience configuring and maintaining CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.

BONUS

  • Experience with code-first performance testing using Grafana k6 or Locust and understanding of the eCommerce domain.

  • Familiarity with observability tools and database migration tools like Flyway or Liquibase in the context of test provisioning
