Job Description

Summary:

The IT Administrator focuses on improving the internal IT experience for Axcient’s dynamic, local and remote staff. The IT Administrator is responsible for installing and configuring software, hardware and networks, monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues and ensuring security and efficiency of IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy, monitor, maintain, upgrade and support all IT systems, including IP telephony, PCs, PC operating systems, hardware, software, peripherals, mobile devices, and Office Automation equipment.
  • Manage and troubleshoot the office network, including firewalls, local routers, switches, wireless access points, network drops, and supporting internet services.
  • Administration of Internal IT systems and cloud applications, such as: Office 365, Active Directory, Slack, RingCentral, LastPass and others.
  • Monitor and administer physical access to building and office spaces.
  • Make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems.
  • Provision of end-user services, including internal help desk and internal technical support services.
  • Manage world-class delivery of Internal IT services to in-office and remote team members, including international team members.
  • Keep current with the latest technologies.
  • Participate or lead Internal IT projects and the Internal IT project portfolio.
  • Own asset management for IT hardware, software and equipment.

  • Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years of progressive, related work experience.
  • Experience with IP Telephony and remotely distributed phone systems – RingCentral a plus.
  • Experience with office networking – Meraki and Ubiquiti/Unifi a plus.
  • Familiarity with Windows, MacOS and Linux
  • Moderate networking experience - administering DHCP, VLAN’s, Radius, etc.
  • Confident Installing and troubleshooting software
