Job Description

Millwright will perform walk-through inspections of the entire mill, checking and reporting any malfunctions, repair/trouble shoot when needed. Works closely with production to continually improve safety, equipment productivity and performance.  Accountable for the upkeep and proper functionality of all equipment and systems in the assigned facility. Success in this role will be demonstrated by the continued successful completion of assigned tasks with minimized equipment downtime.  

Successful candidate must: have a minimum of 2 years journeyman-level millwright experience; be able to work shift work and weekends if necessary; have a strong commitment to safety excellence; work well in a team environment; and pass criminal background check and drug screen.

Skill Requirements:

  • Good computer skills, PLC software, Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook
  • Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to identify technical malfunctions in electrical units and PLC’s
  • Must have good understanding of PLC systems as well as the ability to make alterations to the PLC program
  • Sound understanding of handling and using maintenance tools and equipment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to effectively manage time and coordinate work functions with co-workers
  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times

 

Education and Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years journeyman-level millwright experience
  • 2 - 3 years of PLC troubleshooting and repair in an industrial/manufacturing setting
  • Passed physical exam after job offer.  Passed pre-employment criminal background and drug screening
  • Be available to work holidays and weekends
  • Have a strong commitment to safety excellence, and work well in a team environment
