Audiology Tech

Job Description

Palmetto ENT & Allergy is now hiring for an Audiology Tech to join our growing audiology department. The Audiology tech will work under the supervision of the Audiologists in the delivery of services to our patients. 

Duties include, but are not limited to: 

  • Verify Insurance
  • Update patient information in NextGen
  • Schedule hearing aid appointments for all offices
  • Chart Review including making sure referrals are in chart if needed
  • Call patients to pick up hearing aids
  • Check hearing aids dropped off
  • Check in hearing aids returning from manufacturer
  • Perform hearing aid repairs and cleanings
  • Execute all paperwork associated with purchases, repairs, and returns of hearing aids.
  • Provide orientation education
  • All Bluetooth troubleshooting
  • Stock supplies and report to director supplies needed
  • Wipe down equipment daily and troubleshoot when necessary

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED certification required. Post high school courses in business, data processing and medical terminology preferred.  

Six months prior experience in customer service required.  Six months experience in medical office reception preferred. Must show maturity when dealing with fellow employees. Good verbal and written communication skills are essential in addition to excellent listening skills. Must be able to operate a personal computer.
