Granicus is looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join our internal GovQA infrastructure and network team.  This role is  responsible for providing on-site support and/or project management for in-office and remote users and systems at GovQA including: configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, incident response, security, proactive trend analysis and solutioning, infrastructure architecture and vendor management. This role also administers and maintains the SaaS application hosting platform.

What You Will Do

  • Provide on-site technical support for the GovQA office and remote users/systems
  • Administer and support Azure Government Cloud resources and security controls
  • Participate as a key member of the Incident Response Team to resolve system outages, disaster recovery, or malicious attacks
  • Assist with resolving production and security issues to ensure system availability and data security for customers.
  • Track/log all details regarding service requests, incident response, and action reporting.
  • Coordinate escalation of service requests/incidents as required.
  • Perform daily review of open/closed tickets to analyze trends and proactively identify potential problems and implement avoidance measures.
  • Architect key infrastructure in the office and production environments.
  • Configure, maintain, and repair various office systems and networks as needed such as: VoIP, file server, WiFi, etc.
  • Monitor physical and logical security at the GovQA offices for malicious activity, alerting technical management if trouble is spotted.
  • Provide on-call/after-hours support when necessary
  • Assess new technology needs/requirements, make recommendations, and engineer approved solutions to meet them.
  • At the direction of leadership, initiate and manage approved technical projects related to SaaS platform enhancement, security, performance, or end of life initiatives.
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors to complete work orders. 
Skills & Requirements

Who You are

  • Possess 3 years experience providing end user support in a fast paced Microsoft environment
  • Experienced in configuring and maintaining Microsoft products (Windows servers, desktops, and laptops, etc)
  • Experienced with Azure cloud architecture and administration, and a variety of cloud applications (e.g. Google Docs, VoIP, O365, etc.)
  • Experienced with Linux, VoIP, firewall/networking technologies and VPN deployment and configuration
  • Customer-service focused with the ability to manage customer expectations
  • A Self-starter with a high degree of technical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Possess excellent with verbal/written communication, people, and presentation skills, with a high attention to detail
  • Experienced with virtualization and network-attached storage (ProxMox/CEPH preferred)
  • Experienced with HP pro-curve switching, VLAN configuration, and GPO creation and deployment
