Job Summary:

This role works in partnership with Product, Engineering, Operations, and Support teams to help design and develop reliable, scalable, and cost-effective upgrade solutions to meet corporate and client standards. The primary focus of this role is on upgrading and patching customer environments, ensuring seamless and efficient transitions.

Responsibilities

  • Manages application, infrastructure deployments and upgrades to customer-facing and internal environments.
  • Provides critical patching for operating systems including Linux and Windows.
  • Creates and maintains accurate documentation of systems, solutions, guidelines, and processes.
  • Migrates existing server environments to managed services and/or cloud-based platforms.
  • Communicates professionally and positively with stakeholders (internal and external).
  • Proactively engage with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and design solutions using critical thinking and analysis skills and best practices.
  • Work alongside technical leadership to organize technical roadmaps into achievable work.
  • Help delivery teams develop an overall strategy for deploying code.
  • Provides security patches to both internal and external systems.
  • Ability to understand and promote customers priorities in overall solution deployments and communicate this to product owner.
  • Influence through others. build direct and behind the scenes support for ideas.
  • Provides an open learning environment for cross-team knowledge sharing.
  • Proactively identify and remove project obstacles or barriers on behalf of the team.
  • Troubleshoot and debug build issues with a willingness to resolve problems quickly.
  • Evaluates and adopts new tools and cloud technologies to improve build and release processes.
  • Design, develop, and maintain tooling to support cloud-based CI/CD pipelines capable of scaling to thousands of concurrent builds and artifacts.
  • Supports and trains more junior team members.
  • Become a source of technical knowledge (Subject Matter Expert) for other team members.
Skills & Requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Network Operations or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 1-2 years of professional experience with Linux, Python, SQL, GIT, software.
  • Basic scripting experience with a relevant language.
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevOps processes and activities.
  • Basic knowledge of configuration management tools.
  • Basic knowledge of infrastructure automation tools.
  • Basic knowledge of version control systems and workflows.
  • Basic understanding of software development tools, operating systems, virtual and physical infrastructure, network topologies, and security models.
  • Willingness to learn and adopt an automation-first mindset.
  • Basic knowledge of build & CI automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Basic knowledge of relational database administration, system administration, and SQL.
  • Basic understanding of network design & troubleshooting from the physical to application layers.
  • Basic knowledge of source code management tools & artifact management.
  • Basic knowledge of monitoring and logging tools.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
