Manager, Professional Services sought by Vertafore, Inc.

Job Responsibilities 

Responsible for planning and delivering releases, defining new features, and making key decisions on the Architecture and technical issues; perform product demos for customers; deliver MRDs and PRDs with prioritized features and corresponding justification; study market trends to set vision and strategy; create and manage project planning using Microsoft Project;  create data flow diagrams, process flow diagrams, business process modelling, swim-lane diagrams with Microsoft Visio;  identify potential problems and apply creative solutions, ensuring deliverables are met on time;  lead an implementation team, ensuring budgets, schedules and performance standards are attained; serve as the primary customer escalation point for customer changes and/or issues during the implementation process; assist with project scoping exercises and preparing statements of work;  provide project oversight to ensure delivery methodology is followed; identify opportunities to improve processes and streamline work; work with sales, product management, development, and cross-functional teams to improve customer experience.

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or closely related field plus 5 years of experience as Project Manager in wrap-up insurance and insurance software development setting. Requires 2 years of mobile app development (iOS and Android), and 5 years of SaaS project management experience in the following, which must include:

  • Project delivery methodologies (Scrum, Agile, Waterfall);
  • Developing, configuring, and deploying a variety of Framework applications including WebForms, WebServices, and Windows Services;
  • Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project, DotNet, SQL Server, JavaScript, SSRS;
  • Process improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean, BPM)

Skills & Requirements Qualifications

The Professional Services (PS) and Customer Success (CX) bonus plans are a quarterly monetary bonus plan based upon individual and practice performance against specific business metrics.  Eligibility is determined by several factors including: start date, good standing in the company, and actives status at time of payout.

The Vertafore Incentive Plan (VIP) is an annual monetary bonus for eligible employees based on both individual and company performance.  Eligibility is determined by several factors including: start date, good standing in the company, and actives status at time of payout.

Commission plans are tailored to each sales role but common components include quota, MBO's and ABPMs.  Salespeople receive their formal compensation plan within 30 days of hire.
