JOB DESCRIPTION

The Vertafore employee in Implementation Engineer position would deliver value to customers through implementation, technical configurations, and providing technical recommendations and solutions to business problems. They shape and improve the experience of key Vertafore clients. They work cross-functionally across Vertafore, including Customer Support, Account Management, Professional Services and Product Management to help guide the client and also contribute to future growth of Services team.

Being part of a cross-functional team to serve key clients, Implementation Engineer needs to be a proactive self-starter, able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and service-focused to help nurture the client experience. Additionally, one loves getting into the technical details of an implementation and are excited to come up with new tools, processes, or solution to complex problems. 

Implementation Engineers focus on configurations and customizations required by clients of Vertafore products, and work on release items for clients,

 

 

Skills & Requirements

Core Responsibilities:

Essential job functions included but are not limited to the following:

·        Develops forward thinking, technical configurations recommendations that align with clients' business objectives.

·        Configures, creates, and demonstrates the poc/demo components of the Vertafore product suite using tools and expertise in the areas of XML, system integration, web services, JavaScript, databases and native Vertafore implementation tools

·        Collaborates with the sales / solution consulting team to educate and train sales on how to best technically implement and integrate with the Vertafore product suite

·        configures tools and processes required for demos

·        Maintains the deepest level of industry and product expertise and proliferates, internally and externally

·        Works with teams in India and the US

Qualifications:

·        B.Tech/M.Tech/MCA/MSc or any equalent degree preferred or commensurate experience.

·        Minimum 3 years of work experience in a technical, customer focused environment.

·        Insurance industry experience helpful

·        Advanced written and verbal communication skills

·        Technically savvy with an interest in technology and in deepening technical and software knowledge

·        Development experience with Java

·        Experience with XML, web services, SQL, and web design/HTML

·        NoSQL exposure added advantage but not mandatory

Qualifications

The Professional Services (PS) and Customer Success (CX) bonus plans are a quarterly monetary bonus plan based upon individual and practice performance against specific business metrics.  Eligibility is determined by several factors including: start date, good standing in the company, and actives status at time of payout.

The Vertafore Incentive Plan (VIP) is an annual monetary bonus for eligible employees based on both individual and company performance.  Eligibility is determined by several factors including: start date, good standing in the company, and actives status at time of payout.

Commission plans are tailored to each sales role but common components include quota, MBO's and ABPMs.  Salespeople receive their formal compensation plan within 30 days of hire.
