Job Description 

Vertafore Professional Services Organization is looking for dynamic and passionate people to join our team! As a new Implementation Consultant, you will develop market leading skills that will launch your career growth aligned with your professional aspirations.   

Vertafore Implementation Consultants are trusted advisors combining project management, configuration, data conversion, training, and business expertise to guide our customers through the process of software implementation and achieve customer success. 

Implementation Consultants start their journey with a cohort of colleagues that undergo robust training and with the opportunity to work across multiple Vertafore products and competencies such as project management, data conversion, and training.  You will be part of a strong Professional Services team that is here to support a career path that is aligned with your professional aspirations as you develop deep competency in project management, data conversions, or training over time.   

You will start your career in our Denver Delivery Center building skills and working in our high volume, SaaS based implementation practice. As you develop deeper industry, business, & competency expertise you will have the opportunity to grow into our enterprise implementation practices leading very large and complex customer engagements.

Core requirements and responsibilities:  

Essential job functions included but are not limited to the following: 

  • Become a subject matter expert with our products, methodology, and P&C business operations 

  • Work within and across teams implementing Vertafore products and delivering Professional Services 

  • Manage and execute the project from beginning to end and will act as the liaison between customer and internal teams 

  • Communicate project deliverables at all levels, and make sure items are executed on time, to budget, with high quality 

  • Execute data conversion tasks, author project deliverables, and provide application configuration consulting throughout the project lifecycle 

  • Manage multiple training engagements concurrently 

  • Conduct presentations and educational sessions 

  • Deliver both in-person and remote training sessions 

  • Partner with clients to ensure training events are well-planned from start to finish 

  • Provide complete and concise internal reporting for all engagements 

  • Commit to improve existing skills, and develop new skills on an ongoing basis 

 

 

Skills & Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  

  • Strong knowledge of P&C insurance business practices and independent insurance agency markets 

  • Eager for challenges that explore your full potential and want to develop market leading skills that will accelerate your career growth and progressions 

  • Passionate about continuously learning new technologies and skills. 

  • Highly organized and have ability to manage projects including 

  • Proven ability communicating with the customer to ensure progress is being made and concerns are managed promptly 

  • Proven track record of building, developing and growing business relationships vital to the success of the project in person and remotely. 

  • Ability to deliver onsite and remote consultative training for a wide variety of product capabilities, from agency management systems to content & workflows. 

  • Thrive in a challenging environment, helping users adopt new technology that impacts every element of their day to day work. 

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the proven ability to effectively engage and influence at all levels, and ability to effectively handle crucial conversations and manage conflict resolution 

  • Ability to effectively prioritize workload and tasks to meet deadlines 

  • Excellent presentation and communications skills, both written and verbal 

  • Outstanding time management skills 

  • Ability to be creative and innovative 

  • Flexible, easily adaptable to change 

Qualifications:  

  • 2+ years of experience in the P&C insurance industry preferred 

  • 2+ years of experience in training and education preferred 

  • Prior insurance industry experience and knowledge preferred  

  • You aspire to be a dedicated contributor for providing technical support to teams and outstanding support to customers  

Additional Requirements and Details:

  • Travel required up to 10% of the time.
  • Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds.
  • Frequent repetitive hand and arm movements required to operate a computer.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision (working on a computer, etc.).
  • Frequent sitting and/or standing.
Qualifications Vertafore is a Flexible First working environment which allows team members to work from home as often as you’d like, while using our offices as a place for collaboration, community, and teambuilding. There are times you may be asked to come into an office and/or travel for specific meetings for a specific business purpose and this varies by job responsibilities.

The Professional Services (PS) and Customer Success (CX) bonus plans are a quarterly monetary bonus plan based upon individual and practice performance against specific business metrics.  Eligibility is determined by several factors including: start date, good standing in the company, and actives status at time of payout.

The Vertafore Incentive Plan (VIP) is an annual monetary bonus for eligible employees based on both individual and company performance.  Eligibility is determined by several factors including: start date, good standing in the company, and actives status at time of payout.

Commission plans are tailored to each sales role but common components include quota, MBO's and ABPMs.  Salespeople receive their formal compensation plan within 30 days of hire.
