This is a role built for a dynamic individual that has a passion for the big picture vision and the ability to roll up their sleeves to get into the details. Vertafore Canada, a division of Vertafore, primarily serves the Canadian Independent Broker distribution channel. In this role, you will help Vertafore Canada, define, analyze, scope, build and launch new solutions for the Canadian market.
You’ll work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including insurance brokers and carriers, to understand roadmap goals/strategy and distill high-level requirements user stories that enable development teams to understand what problems need to be solved to create the best solution. As a Product Manager, you will also prioritize the development backlog and plan and sequence the work appropriately. As features are delivered, you’ll work closely with our internal teams to ensure new features can be adopted.

Core Requirements and Responsibilities:
Essential job functions included but are not limited to the following:
· Drive the full product development cycle from idea to delivery, demonstrating strong leadership skills and ability to execute initiatives to completion
· Facilitate and lead meetings with cross-functional teams, including insurance brokers, carriers and other external stakeholders, to get the clarity needed to document feature requirements to appropriate level of detail
· Support Product Owners to clarify user stories acceptance criteria where needed
· Collaborate with product management colleagues, development, and user experience design staff to lead on time, successful scope definition and feature deployment
· Design and deliver product training for your new solutions to internal cross functional teams
· Partner with Sales & Marketing as the subject matter expert for your assigned products
· Research and respond to questions from cross functional teams
· Self-starter able to take ownership with little direction
· Willingness to embrace ambiguity
