Founded in 1965, KanPak(r) LLC began as a family-owned dairy company, based in Arkansas City, KS. From the beginning, KanPak has led the way in the development of aseptic processing and packaging for beverages and desserts. In 1983, KanPak was one of the first companies in North America to qualify, process and aseptically package low acid foods.

KanPak continued to grow and expand, creating some of the most successful new product introductions in the foodservice industry.

In 2011, Golden State Foods became partners in KanPak China, with the combined companies continuing to expand their product offering and bring on new customers in China and throughout Asia. This success culminated in 2013 with Golden State Foods acquiring controlling interest in KanPak LLC, and eventually acquiring the balance of KanPak LLC in 2016 with KanPak LLC becoming a wholly owned subsidiary of Golden State Foods.

The newest addition to the KanPak facility line-up is in Penn Yan, NY. Acquired in December of 2014, the plant has liquid aseptic processing as well as yogurt capabilities, and provides a second North American facility to service the North East region.

Quality Compliance Auditor

Job Description

Main functions:

The Quality Control Auditor is responsible for documentation/record review, product hold and release, internal auditing and maintaining recovery of data  

Primary Objectives:

v  Coordinate GSF Quality activities and operations to meet objective for quality, food safety, integrity, regulatory compliances, cost, safety and customer satisfaction at KanPak

v  Participate in formulating and administering division’s short and long range goals and objectives for business growth

v  Responsible to ensure that products meet requirements for food safety and quality

v  Performs audit of all quality records and reports associated with all production lots.

v  Ensures all quality critical controls points are met

v  Maintains and organizes orderly and detailed files of quality and production records associated with plant manufactured lots

v  Ensures the destruction of quality records per the record retention policy

v  Coordinates Quality Hold Program to document and control production lots on quality hold

v  Coordinates hold information and investigations with customers as required

v  Initiates Incident and Deviation Reports that detail out the specification events to facilitate further investigation

v  Reviews all quality documents and finished product testing results to execute proper product disposition.

v  Maintains databases and generates data summaries of product and operating conditions to enable quality improvement and sound decision making by manufacturing teams

v  Maintains customer requested quality documents, databases and summaries i.e Certificate of Analysis (CoA) and customer monthly reports

v  Participates in company annual training

v  Participates as needed in company audits

v  Performs tasks in compliance with all company standards including those for safety and efficiency

v  Performs any other duties as assigned or required

v  Creates and maintains data spreadsheets

v  Completes data reports and slides in multiple frequencies.

 
Skills & Requirements

v  Employment Requirements:

v  Knowledge of quality standards and food safety.

v  Experience with HACCP programs

v  Proficient Excel, Microsoft and Power point skills

v  Good organization, prioritization, multitasking and attention to detail skills.

v  Skill in record review and document control

Preferred but not required:  

v  FDA Better Process School Certification

v  Experience in record review/documentation control is a plus

v  HACCP certification

v  OSHA 10 certification
