Senior Marketing Communications Manager

Job Description  Looking for a role where you can make a huge impact? This is it! Zapproved is seeking a highly-driven and creative communications and content marketing expert to join our Marketing team. The Sr. Marketing Communications Manager plays an integral role in crafting and executing our communications and content strategy with an overarching goal of bolstering Zapproved’s reputation, awareness, and engagement with prospects and customers in the ediscovery market. In addition to a strong expertise in traditional media relations, the candidate needs to be able to create content marketing assets and campaigns that support Zapproved’s business and brand.

In this role you will partner with Zapproved’s digital marketing team to lead our PR, social media, and content strategy, telling a compelling narrative and generate national media coverage. You’ll own the story from creation of the narrative and identifying relevant data to press release and media relations.


What you’ll be doing:

  •  Develop and deliver a holistic content marketing strategy that drives leads and awareness, strengthening our reputation as thought leaders.
    •  Create a cadence for regular content that will significantly grow the company’s footprint (press releases, corporate announcements, and blog posts). Build and manage the editorial calendar for the blog and resource center.
    • Create and edit content produced by teammates, including conceptualizing the projects upfront and copy-editing prior to publishing.
    • Develop and manage a network of freelancers and go-to influencers in our industry to create content (ex. ebooks, whitepapers, infographics, guides, etc.).
  • Establish the company’s sustainable, strategic approach to PR based on adding value to media outlets and event managers
    • Identify and connect with influential media outlets and journalists to place stories about company news and other initiatives.
    • Collaborate with prominent members of the company, including executives, to craft and pitch press releases and thought leadership columns.
  • Lead the company’s presence on social media by developing a social strategy, monitoring and participating in online conversations as well as promoting the content, events and recognition to the growing audience.
    • Partner with Employee Success team on employment branding initiatives.

 

What you should have:

  •  5+ years’ experience in a content marketing, PR, marketing or communications role. Demonstrated, visible experience creating and delivering on content strategies the drive lead generation.
  •  Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Able to distill complex messages into elegant and inspiring content that engages our customers and the market.  
    •  Exceptional writing and editing skills, as well as the ability to adopt the style, tone, and voice of our business' various types of content. Skilled in creating, editing, and promoting written and visual content.
  •  Experience pitching, crafting, and placing content externally through guest blogging or op-ed development and experience with event management and sponsorships. Ability to manage an editorial calendar for a media publication or marketing team.
  •  Able to work collaboratively at all levels in the organization, including Executives.
  •  Self-starter: Highly motivated with the ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment with strong time management and organizational skills.
  •  Hybrid creative and analytical thinker who can help teams come up with innovative ideas and measure their impact for the company.
  •  BA/BS degree or equivalent working experience.
