Social Media & Content Marketing Manager - Legacy Hall & Unlawful Assembly Brewery

Job Description

We’re looking for a badass social media and content marketer for the coolest new concept to hit North Texas in years, maybe ever! The ideal candidate will show up to the interview and give us examples of how you significantly grew a consumer brand’s social presence.  We want to hear about how you developed the strategy, created content and posts that drove super high engagement and layered in paid strategies to reach a large audience. Ultimately, we want to see how you turned a brand into a household name and made an impact by driving millions of people to become customers. Because that’s what this role is all about. This role covers all of Legacy Hall including:  The Food Hall with 22 artisanal food stalls by local chefs, Unlawful Assembly Brewery & Tap Room, and The Box Garden an outdoor music and entertainment venue.  

You will be an integral part of the Front Burner marketing team in executing the marketing plan for Legacy Hall. Specifically, you’ll develop and execute our social media strategy across all social channels and earned media. You’ll develop the plan, work with internal subject matter experts to come up with story lines, build the weekly schedules, design/develop/shoot unique content, run creative advertising programs, and listen to and engage with consumers online so that over time they know us, like us, love us. 

It’s not just about growing a massive number of followers [though that would be great] the ultimate goal is to build a trusted brand that helps drive more traffic into the food hall, increases food/LBW sales and propels retail sales of our craft beers.


  • Be the voice of Legacy Hall and Unlawful Assembly across our social presence
  • Develop our social media strategy, content roadmap and editorial calendar
  • Interview internal experts [food stall chefs, bar managers, brew master, event coordinators, music promoters and more] in order to generate content ideas
  • Storyboard, plan and create original content ideas that drive high levels of reach and engagement [e.g. ask the brew master, meet the chef, etc.]. Content includes all the various forms such as graphics, pictures, memes, polls, interviews, and videos/video series that bring to life the Legacy Hall experience outside our four walls.
  • Curate, create, and publish content on a daily basis to Facebook, Instagram, SnapChat, YouTube, Twitter and even Pinterest and LinkedIn every so often.
  • Develop social media advertising programs including ad campaign creation and targeting, ad copywriting and creative implementation, a/b testing, campaign optimization and reporting
  • Monitor our presence for brand mentions and then engage in conversations, respond to customer questions and address complaints; escalate customer service requests; and identify and report on trends and sentiment to management.
  • Develop plans and processes to drive high rates of employee advocacy such that they contribute content and share our content across their social networks in order to amplify our reach
  • Track and analyze key metrics in order to conduct tests and then optimize content in order to drive improved performance on each social media channel
  • Develop our social media reporting dashboard to demonstrate continued growth in brand reach on social platforms, brand awareness, engagement, and conversions [e.g. bookings for an event]
  • Assist managers with monitoring and responding to all consumer reviews on key reputation sites like Google, Yelp, Facebook and Trip Advisor
  • Document best practices and share them with the people who do the social media posts at all our other brands [Whiskey Cake, Sixty Vines, Mexican Sugar, etc.]

Required Qualifications

  • Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, PR, Journalism
  • Experience:  5 years of experience in agency or in-house marketing – strongly prefer experience in a consumer oriented business like hospitality, retail, entertainment or restaurant.
  • Social Media: Deep experience in both organic and paid strategies for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and SnapChat as well new/emerging platforms. Proven ability to build and engage a community of users using a range of digital content formats. Proper balance of developing strategy, executing implementation, and reporting on performance against KPIs.
  • Creativity:  Strong background in creative and innovating thinking and execution, with demonstrated capability for storytelling, story boarding, creative content creation, and persuasive messaging and copywriting [in unique tone/voice of the brand]
  • Copywriting:  Excellent copy writing skills along with expertise in implementing company value proposition, messaging, tone, and style across our presence
  • Digital Marketing:  Breadth of digital marketing knowledge with a strategic view on how social media programs can support search optimization, reputation management, and inbound marketing programs as well as paid, earned, and owned media goals
  • Analytical Thinking:   Not just a “creative” but a strategic marketer that analyzes data and makes data-led decisions to test creative and messaging then optimize elements and increase results
  • Presence:  Very comfortable being a spokesperson on video, and engaging in discussions with media and guests
  • Project Management:  Deep experience in managing multiple detailed projects and multiple vendors to deliver high quality on time.
