We are seeking a skilled and motivated Class A CDL Driver/Drill Operator (or trainee) to join our family-operated drilling company based in New Jersey. Preference given to underemployed/unemployed National Guard, Reservists and Veterans. This unique opportunity involves both driving responsibilities and operating drilling equipment. The ideal candidate must possess a Class A CDL license, be an excellent communicator, and be willing to learn. Extended travel periods are required. This is a full-time position offering hourly pay, per diem, and paid training. Excellent earning potential throughout career progression. Open to applicants from across the US, shared housing is provided for a minimum of 6 months.

Responsibilities:

Driving:

• Safely operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle (CMV) to transport drilling equipment, tools, and materials to and from job sites.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while maintaining a high level of professionalism on the road.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure its safe and efficient operation.
• Load, unload, and secure equipment and materials as required.

Drill Operation:

• Perform drilling operations as instructed, including site preparation, equipment setup, and operation of drilling machinery.
• Conduct pre-operational checks on drilling equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety.
• Operate drilling machinery effectively and safely to meet project requirements.
• Monitor drilling operations to identify and address any issues or concerns promptly.
• Collect and document samples during drilling operations as needed.

Travel:

• Be available to travel for extended periods to various job sites within and outside New Jersey.
• Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate project timelines and client requirements.
• Adhere to all travel policies and guidelines established by the company.

Safety and Compliance:

• Comply with all safety regulations within OSHA 30 & OSHA 10, guidelines, and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required and promote a culture of safety among team members.
• Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and industry best practices related to driving and drilling operations.

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving record, minimum 5 years driving experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of drilling techniques, equipment, and industry safety practices is preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Flexibility to travel and work on various job sites for extended periods.
• Physical fitness to perform physically demanding tasks and work in challenging conditions.
• Willingness to undergo and successfully complete paid training programs as required.
