Job Description

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for leveraging brand strategies to develop Savencia USA businesses in all 12 Albertsons' divisions. This person will represent all Savencia brands that are represented in the US including Alouette, Ile de France, and Rogue Creamery to the Albertsons/Safeway divisions, enhancing brand presence through appropriate distribution, pricing, shelving, and promotional activities. Position is perfect for a self-motivated team player who will embrace our culture of winning!

This is a remote based position with preferred location in the Western portion of the U.S., preferably California, Arizona, Idaho, Oregon or Washington.

Responsibilities:

Customer Development:

  • Establish and develop collaborative relationships with each Albertsons’ region key personnel via excellent customer service, a show of category passion, and perseverance.
  • Identify and execute key business development opportunities.
  • Own the Category Review process and coordinate cross-functional needs while adhering to customer timelines (Category Review, Commitments, Samples, Item Setup, Orders, Tracking/Analysis
  • Manage retail price points and margin parity with competition.

Broker Development:

  • Lead broker efforts in strategy development, sales calls, business development, and share insights from syndicated data.
  • Manage broker against KPI and measure broker performance.
  • Manage communication from the organization

Resource Management:

  • Utilize syndicated data, information systems, and metrics around financial, brand, and shopper trends to maximize market share, sales, and profits.
  • Combine POS data with marketing and insight data to create compelling and comprehensive selling stories.

Planning:

  • Develop and implement promotional plans while remaining within corporate spending guidelines.
  • Meet or exceed company growth objectives while managing within trade budget guidelines and optimize effectiveness through ROI analysis
  • Forecast all distribution changes and external impacts that will affect shipments to ensure  accurate monthly forecast for promotional and base volumes.

Competitive Watch:

  • Communicate competitive trends, promo and marketing observations.
Skills & Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years of direct selling experience in consumer-packaged goods.
  • Broker management experience.
  • Strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Sales Force).
  • Self-starter who proactively identifies business risks and opportunities with the ability to understand financials and P&L.
  • Detail-oriented. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage processes effectively.
  • Understanding and ability to analyze data, develop fact-based recommendations, and create and deliver strong presentations across functions and levels, internally and externally.
  • Comfortable public speaking, delivering effective customer presentations and negotiating.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Deli and dairy selling experience.
  • Experience with Albertson/Safeway.
  • Experience with Blue Planner.
