Mission Statement
The Middlesex County Improvement Authority was created by Resolution of the Board of Chosen Freeholders of the County of Middlesex adopted on September 6, 1990.  In creating the Authority, the Board of Chosen Freeholders provided an entity, which could assist various governmental and community entities in a variety of ways.

The Authority’s objective is to support the County and the municipalities and other entities within the County, providing financial and management assistance.  The Authority strives to improve the quality of life for the residents of Middlesex County.

Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

  • Under direction, assists in the administration of a treatment plan or program for an individual or group of residents or independently administers a recreation activity or program.  

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  •  Independently administers a prescribed therapy activity or program for one or more residents.\
  • Assists in planning and administering therapy programs in activities such as exercise, games, sports, group recreation and special entertainment.
  • Instructs and assists residents in order to maximize their enjoyment and participation in recreational activities.
  • Maintains harmonious working relationships with residents, their families and guests and other staff at the care center.
  • Observes and documents facts to assist in the development and maintenance of an effective care plan for each resident.

 

OTHER JOB DUTIES:

  • Attends required inservice training.
  • Does related work as required.

 

BASIC COMPETENCIES EDUCATION:

  •  Graduation from High School or Vocational School.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English sufficiently to perform the job.
