Mission Statement
The Middlesex County Improvement Authority was created by Resolution of the Board of Chosen Freeholders of the County of Middlesex adopted on September 6, 1990.  In creating the Authority, the Board of Chosen Freeholders provided an entity, which could assist various governmental and community entities in a variety of ways.

The Authority’s objective is to support the County and the municipalities and other entities within the County, providing financial and management assistance.  The Authority strives to improve the quality of life for the residents of Middlesex County.

Staffing

Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

  • Under direction performs the staffing function and acts as the liaison between the facility staff and the agency staffing services to provide adequate staffing levels for the nursing department.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  •  Ensures desired staffing levels for each shift through coordination, review, revision and construction of staffing schedules.
  • Obtains supplemental staff by utilizing per diem and agency personnel.
  • Handles employee leave requests for vacation, personal and sick days.
  • Collects and records nursing care hours, acuities and other data and statistics as needed.
  • Reconciles usage and invoices from Agencies to verify accuracy of bills.
  • Corrects payroll discrepancy records and maintains attendance and other records and reports concerning nursing activities.

 

OTHER JOB DUTIES:

  •  Attends required in-service training.

Skills & Requirements

BASIC COMPETENCIES EDUCATION:

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English sufficiently to perform the job.
  • Graduate from High School or Vocational School.

EXPERIENCE:

  • One year of experience in the operation of a PC which shall have included a knowledge of Windows Software.
