Human Resources Coordinator

Job Description

Founded in 2005 on the balmy beaches of Mexico, Tacombi is a quickly growing company in New York City looking to strengthen our people team to support our growth.  We are looking for a full-time Human Resources Coordinator who can support, manage and develop our most valuable asset: our people. About the role... 

Employee Life Cycle Management

  • Actively manage and facilitate the new employee process, including sending/filing offer letters, ensuring timely onboarding and review of identification.

  • Act as the main point of contact for all benefits administration. Work closely with the Benefits & Culture Associate to ensure all benefits information is communicated in a timely fashion.

  • Monitor Payroll and improve the process through daily checks and follow up with management to ensure accuracy of all punches.

  • Manage the Employee Referral Bonus program.

  • Ensure that all NYSDOL Letters are sent and filed within 3 days of an employee’s last date with Tacombi.

  • Ensure the accurate and timely filing of all employee related documentation, including transfer paperwork, rate of pay forms, tip agreements, corrective action forms, etc.

  • Handle all ACA filing.

  • Fulfill all worker’s compensation claims, unemployment claims and any mandatory government/census reporting.

  • Coordinate, schedule and confirm attendance for all New Hire Orientations.


Compliance

  • Remain constantly up to date and compliant with the correct Human Resources practices and policies with Tacombi.

  • Conduct quarterly HR Compliance audits.

  • Conduct quarterly Benefits audits and ensure monthly benefit reconciliation with the Finance Team.

  • Audit employee timecards daily.

  • Ensure that Payroll is completed each week in a timely and accurate fashion, in accordance with New York State law. Ensure all payroll related codes are entered correctly for final approval by the Director of Human Resources.

  • Assist managers in executing appropriate administration for all employee related practices, including Rate of Pay Forms, Exit Paperwork, etc.

 

The Human Resources Coordinator will report to the Human Resources Manager.

 

Qualifications... 

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a similar field

  • You have 1-3 years of Human Resources or relevant experience

  • You have experience working in the Hospitality industry within Human Resources 

  • You know your way around ADP Workforce Now

  • You are preferably a bi-lingual, Spanish speaker

  • You are a problem solver, critical thinker, goal-oriented individual 

  • You demonstrate strong interpersonal and communications skills

  • You have a commitment to exemplify the highest integrity and professional business standards

  • You’re results oriented, passionate and show a strong sense of urgency

  • You have strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to influence others

  • You are detail oriented and organized

  • Most importantly, you have a love for tacos
