What initially started out as taqueria operating under the Tacombi brand name has evolved into an omni-channel business with CPG & DTC business that share Mexican food and culture through our Tacombi and Vista Hermosa products. Tacombi is building out its DTC and CPG team with a talented group of foodies, salespeople, marketers and innovators with an entrepreneurial spirit to join us!

 

Tacombi is seeking a Senior Brand Analyst to help us drive brand excitement, trial and loyalty across our portfolio of brands with an initial focus on our consumer packaged goods business, Vista Hermosa, and Tacombi. The Senior Brand Analyst will join as a key member of the Brand Marketing team, spearheading new product launches into Retail and DTC and supporting the Director, Brand Marketing on codifying and implementing brand and innovation guardrails across consumer touch points so that we can lean into rapid growth. The Senior Brand Analyst will manage business analytics across CPG product lines, including business analysis, budget, and product management. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, creativity, and a high degree of comfort working in a start-up environment.

What you’ll do 

  • Be an expert in the categories/aisles where we play
  • Understand performance of the brand as well as category and key competitors, conducting monthly reporting and ad-hoc analysis based on syndicated consumption and shipment data
  • Become an expert in data systems (SPINS, Nielson, internal shipments data, etc.)
  • Proactively communicate key learnings from data analysis and actions with internal stakeholders
  • Work with Sales team on identifying key customer outages in Assortment, Merchandising, Pricing, and Shelving (AMPS)
  • Support the broader Vista Hermosa team with analysis and data driven insights to help grow the business and launch smart and successful innovation
  • Help to identify new opportunities to fill pipeline and ensure portfolio sufficiency including, including new formats/flavors of current products and new product sub-ranges
  • Track Marketing budget, working closely Director, Brand Marketing and Finance
  • Support on packaging and new product launches, working closely with cross-functional team
  • Support on development of launch kits and ACV targets for Sales team; act as point person for Sales on creation of any point-of-sale marketing materials and displays
  • Participate in key activities aimed at driving brand growth, including strategy and innovation ideations sessions, internal and agency creative reviews, product tastings, acting as thought partner for Director, Brand Marketing on initiatives

You have

  • 2-3 years relevant experience in brand marketing or marketing analytics, CPG experience is strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Extremely strong analytical skills; prior experience building excel models
  • Ability to leverage multiple sources of data into a streamlined data visualizations, reports and dashboards
  • Experience working with syndicated consumption data (SPINS, IRI, Nielsen) is a major plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
