Where do you see yourself at Dupuy?
Dupuy Group is currently seeking an Operations Manager to join our New Orleans location. The incumbent is responsible for planning and managing the warehousing facilities, staffing, weekly production requirements and customer requests especially for our metal business.
What you will be working on:
- Overseeing the management of all aspects of the quality of the commodities and products in the warehouse including assisting with quality control, bulk department and customer service
- Collaborating with the business development department in order to facilitate growth of the company
- Communicating with customer service department to ensure products are shipped in a timely manner and invoicing is accurate and complete
- Following all safety and sanitary guidelines; enforces all safety and PPE standards and maintains a safe environment; participates and completes all required safety and quality training
- Working with maintenance personnel on routine preventative equipment, and building and grounds maintenance and repair
- Identifying opportunities for improvement in areas of quality control, equipment efficiency, personnel, and resource utilization; ensure quality control processes are understood and followed. Providing the necessary support systems for operations.
What we are looking for:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3-5 years experience in warehouse management preferred especially in metal management
- Strong communication, collaboration and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to operate general warehouse equipment.
- Driver's license required; ability to obtain a TWIC card required,
