The Dupuy Group is currently hiring for a Fleet Mechanic Technician for their Jacksonville warehouse.
The Fleet Maintenance Technician performs diagnostic and repair work, including scheduled preventative maintenance and necessary repairs to automobiles, trucks (light, medium, and heavy commercial/DOT-regulated vehicles).
This position is responsible for:
• Diagnose failures of vehicles and disassemble, repair and reassemble parts as necessary
• Basic computer use
• Adherence to DOT regulations
• Perform preventative maintenance on vehicles
• Answer troubleshooting calls
• Maintain vehicle records as required
• Maintain and repair fleet equipment
• Complete necessary documents
• Maintain records such as daily check list (pre-trip inspection) and part inventories
Minimum Education and Experience:
• High School Diploma or equivalency.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with operations and maintenance personnel.
• Be able to read, write and understand English and follow written and/or verbal instruction
• Experience operating yard spotters and tractors (on the yard only)
• Previous experience with gas engine repair
• Working knowledge of hydraulic and air brake systems
• Knowledge of internal combustible engines
• Confidence in repairing suspensions, rear ends, transmissions, air brake systems, minor engine work (injectors, turbos, etc.) and more
Physical Requirements
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds (with or without an accommodation)
• Able to reach, lift, carry, push and pull (with or without an accommodation)
