Scope

Performs general maintenance and repair work to ensure hotel facilities, guest rooms, and public areas meet established quality, safety, and brand standards.

Primary Responsibilities

• Completes assigned preventive maintenance tasks and minor repair work orders to maintain the condition and appearance of the hotel. Tasks may include replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, hardware, flooring patches, and other general repairs.

• Assists in inspecting, maintaining, and performing minor repairs on electrical systems, including HVAC controls, televisions, lighting, outlets, and related equipment.

• Assists with inspection, maintenance, and minor repairs of plumbing systems and fixtures such as pipelines, faucets, toilets, sinks, kitchen equipment, and laundry equipment.

• Performs basic carpentry, painting, and finishing work to refurbish furniture, fixtures, and surfaces in guest rooms and public areas, including cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows, and counters.

• Responds promptly and professionally to guest service requests and maintenance concerns; follows up to ensure complete guest satisfaction.

• Maintains cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas, tools, and equipment.

• Observes all safety procedures and immediately reports unsafe conditions or equipment to management.

• Maintains a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.

• Follows all company policies, procedures, and brand standards.

• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance preferred

• Previous maintenance experience in a hotel or similar environment (3 years) is a plus

• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks

• Good communication and guest service skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs

• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures
