Job Description

This position is a first shift opportunity from 2:00PM - 10:30PM Monday through Friday; ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Pay: $27.50 - $28.50/hour DOE

JOB PURPOSE (JOB SUMMARY)

The MRO/Parts Purchaser will support the maintenance department by ensuring accurate inventory management in SAP and performing regular cycle counts. Responsibilities include processing purchase orders, negotiating with suppliers, tracking orders, and maintaining inventory. They will work closely with the goods receiver, coordinate with vendors and manufacturers to secure the correct parts and assist associates in locating required parts and materials. Additionally, they will label parts and organize them within the inventory.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

  • Parts inventory
  • Perform inventory cycle counts
  • Participating in inventory audits and reconciliations.
  • Placing purchase orders and tracking their status.
  • Work closely with the goods receiver to make sure goods are received in the system (SAP)
  • Managing inventory levels of MRO items to avoid stockouts or excess inventory.
  • Assisting with the development of spare parts lists for new equipment.
  • Negotiating with suppliers to secure favorable prices, delivery terms, and quality standards.
  • Vendor manage items with outside vendors, create positive relationships
  • Ensuring timely delivery and proper documentation of shipments.
  • Ensuring proper storage and handling of parts.
  • Assisting customers in locating parts.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

WORK EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE:

  • SAP experience preferred but not required
  • Previous experience in maintenance manufacturing preferred but not required
