POSITION SUMMARY

This Maintenance Planner Scheduler Supervisor is responsible for the daily equipment maintenance planning and daily direction setting for Maintenance Technicians, Blow Mold Operation and Process Controls. This position will focus on maintenance programs and processes while partnering with operations to increase productivity and profitability within the facility and reduce downtime. Provides expertise to subordinates in interpreting product specifications and troubleshooting system problems. This role will also manage and oversee the parts room inventory and team members. Consults and directs maintenance on equipment reliability. Will partner with leadership team on PM implementation. Responsible for complying with: GFSI (SQF), HACCP programs, and validating the effectiveness of procedures that ensure food safety/quality standards for all Regulatory, customer, and business needs.     

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Works within the Company safety standards and complies with all Company safety programs 
    • Adheres to all Quality Programs (SQF, AIB, FSMA, etc.) 
      • Provides direction on daily activities for maintenance staff 

      • Schedules the completion of work assignments within operating budgets 

      • Works closely with production team to schedule maintenance tasks and PMs 

      • Maintains maintenance records and interprets daily downtime reports 

      • Responsible for maintaining a safe and secure work environment for each task - ensuring correct PPE is available, proper permits have been completed and pre-work inspections have been thorough 

      • Provides administration of the plant maintenance function as directed 

      • Manages and arranges for maintenance of adequate level of supplies, materials, and parts so that there will be no interruption in operations due to shortages 

      • Resolves technical problems encountered related to area of responsibility 

      • Complies with State Regulatory programs

      • Maintain parts inventory at budget or less

      • Research for the best part and price available

      • Ensure all parts have item # and is entered into Hippo

      • Ensure parts room meets GMP compliance

      • Works closely with Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Mechanics to conduct RCA’s for major equipment breakdowns

      • Trains Mechanics on parts inventory program

      • Meets/Beats Maintenance department KPI’s

      • May assist in tracking training within department

      • Arranges for all equipment in area to be properly maintained and upgraded as needed

      • Provides daily logs including daily scheduled and nonscheduled work sheets and equipment PMs

      • Stays current in new technologies and applies them as applicable to the manufacturing process

      • Accesses, inputs, and retrieves information from the computers

      • Initiates, reviews, masters, and follows all standard operating procedures (SOPs) for area of responsibility

      • Performs those administrative activities necessary for effective scheduling

      • Acts in the capacity of Maintenance Supervisor for coverage as needed to help cover vacations, leaves, etc. 

      • Supervise MRO/Purchaser roles. 

      • Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Engineering Manager 

       

       

      WORK EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE:

      • Four or more years of experience in industrial maintenance
      • Prior supervisory experience preferred
      • Prior experience in a beverage, food or other clean manufacturing environment with familiarity with quality, GMP and hygiene regulations preferred
      • Prior experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, electric systems and PLC control systems and communication systems
      • Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs with a grasp of financial factors in maintenance is a must
      • Must have used maintenance scheduling software in the past, SAP and/or HIPPO preferred

      • Must be able to use Microsoft Office Suite
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
      • This position requires regular and prompt attendance during the working hours scheduled by the Maintenance Engineering Manager

       FORMAL EDUCATION:

      • Must have High School Diploma or GED
      • Associates degree or formal training certification preferred
