We are seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our IT team! This position is primarily responsible for evaluating requests, responding to requests, and escalating requests to more senior members of the IT team. The position assists others on the IT team as advanced support and ensures requests are followed up with appropriately. The IT Support Specialist is also responsible for device inventory, coordinating new user setups, and involved in user training, web and social media presence, coverage for other IT team members, report generation and distribution, and support of IT projects.
Applicants should have a understanding of hardware, operating systems, applications, networks and the internet. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, learns and adapts quickly to supported applications and can work well with a team. College degree or equivalent work experience on a helpdesk or in another IT position preferred. Good interpersonal interaction skills are a must.
