At Quickbase, we’re on a mission to end a universal problem: Gray Work. The ad-hoc, manual work we do looking for documents, resources, etc. when technology isn’t working for us—that’s Gray Work, and it negatively impacts productivity, employee well-being and a company’s bottom line. Quickbase’s platform for Dynamic Work Management (the first ever) empowers nearly 12,000 organizations like Consigli, Suffolk, Valvoline, Daifuku and more to take on Gray Work by bringing people, processes, and data together into one central location, so employees can stop chasing information across systems and focus on work that makes an impact.
Our product is an AI-powered platform that helps businesses connect scattered data, automate unique processes, and scale what makes them competitive. Instead of forcing you to change how you work to fit a rigid system, Quickbase adapts to your workflows—so you can eliminate manual workarounds, reduce errors, and get real-time visibility across your operations.
We’re looking for a Senior UX Designer who’s passionate about solving complex problems and designing intuitive, scalable user experiences. In this role, you’ll help shape the future of the Quickbase platform by crafting thoughtful, user-centered solutions that empower people to build and manage custom business applications. If you thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy turning deep insights into impactful design, we’d love to hear from you.

Professional experience
· Strong experience delivering interaction designs for B2B web applications, preferably Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) or Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) products. Experience with B2B2C a plus.
· Strong understanding of UX research methodologies, with hands-on experience preparing and facilitating user interviews and collaborative ideation sessions.
· Demonstrated experience with both 0-to-1 product design and well as iterative improvement of mature products
· Demonstrated experience collaborating with people outside of the product organization (e.g. Customer Support, Marketing, Sales) to maintain a full awareness of company and product challenges and goals.
· Proven experience as an effective communicator, able to provide compelling arguments for design choices, while remaining open-minded and flexible regarding others' opinions and technical/resource constraints.
· Experience diving deep into complex design challenges to fully understand a problem space before exploring solutions.
· Hands-on experience designing AI-powered product experiences — including generative interfaces, conversational UI, and agentic workflows — with a clear point of view on when AI genuinely helps the user and when it gets in the way
Qualifications
· Online portfolio highlighting relevant interaction design experience and demonstrating strong craft competency, including responsive design layouts
· Knowledge of user-centered design principles and best practices, along with cloud software industry standards and trends.
· Deep Figma experience, with the ability to create both precise, high-fidelity mockups and fast, low-fidelity wireframes (and the wisdom to know when each is appropriate)
· Fluency using AI tools as part of the design workflow (ideation, prototyping, research synthesis, writing) with strong judgment about when AI output is ready to ship versus when human craft is required.
· Experience working with and contributing to design systems
· Understanding of accessibility principles, particularly around AA-level WCAG compliance standards.
