AIC (Advanced Infusion Care) is looking for a customer service oriented and motivated individual to work from/within our Naples, Florida office for the role of Workflow Coordinator.  A full description of essential duties and responsibilities for these roles, as well as education/experience and qualification requirements, are outlined below.

Hours:  8:00am to 5:00pm EST; Monday - Friday

The Workflow Coordinator processes incoming referral documentation along with patient and prescriber registration to initiate the patient intake process. This position is responsible for performing these duties with accuracy and efficiency, which are critical to customer satisfaction and ongoing quality of service. The Workflow Coordinator works within the limits of prescribed routines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Recognizes patients’ rights and responsibilities and supports them in the performance of job duties; respects patient’s rights to privacy and confidentiality.

·         Receives, identifies, and compiles documents received through fax server for processing.

·         Gathers and reviews documentation related to patient and prescriber demographics to determine completeness.

·         Contacts referral source via phone to obtain any missing information required for entry to computer system while building on lasting, mutually beneficial business relationships.

·         Assigns and labels documentation to the appropriate patient chart and ensure the accuracy and completeness of data entered to computer system during the referral workflow.

·         Contacts patients to initiate an enduring business relationship with the pharmacy through exemplary customer service and ensuring patient satisfaction, and to provide and obtain required information.

·         Ensures that all workflow is processed in compliance with regulatory requirements and pharmacy operating policies and procedures.

·         Provides administrative patient care support as assigned and assists in the training of new associates in the processing of referral workflow or other administrative processes.

·         Documents case activity, communications, and correspondence in computer system to ensure completeness and accuracy of patient contact records.

·         Ensures work activities are conducted in compliance with regulatory requirements and the organization’s defined standards and procedures, and in a manner that provides the best available level of service and quality.

·         Completes assigned paperwork/documents as directed in a timely manner.

·         Shares knowledge gained with other staff members and works as a team member.

·         Interacts with others in a positive, respectful, and considerate manner.

·         Answer and triage incoming telephone calls.

·         Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

·         Ability to make decisions, solve problems, and work independently with little supervision.

·         Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

·         Demonstrate extreme attention to detail and accuracy.

·         Excellent organization and communication skills.

·         Ability to communicate effectively and professionally patients, visitors, and coworkers.

·         Ability to deal with highly sensitive and confidential material.

·         Basic computer proficiency.

·         Ability to quickly learn the use of Lynx and CPR+.

·         Knowledge in the use of Microsoft applications.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) equivalent is required; Pharmacy technician state license required, and medical insurance verification experience preferred.
